The hotel had great room service and even had a pool. There was direct access to the strip within minutes. However, there was a problem with cancelling the trip since there was a huge storm. Luckily, we made it to the hotel on time and had a good stay.

we stayed for 2 nights in August. Customer service was great, room was adequate and right for the price. The hotel is not on the water but you can pay more for hotels that are. Within walking distance to the town. Would stay again.

I rented two room right next to each other. The rooms were to the right of the motel as you faced it. The pictures were very misleading. The rooms were outdated. For example to tiles in the bathroom were lavender. The reviews did not in any way reflect the condition of the room. The room was dirty. There was mold on the wall above the heating/cooling unit. The heating/cooling unit had dirt inside of it. The room smelled like mildew. The blanket was dirty and the white towels did not look clean at all. This is my third time in Lake George and I plan to return many more times, however I will never stay here again. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

I stayed at the Howard Johnson for four nights. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There were no odors of any kind in the room. The air conditioning worked fine and the room was never too hot or cold. The mattress was nice and firm and I woke up every morning refreshed and without any back or neck pain which often happens if I get stuck at a place with poor mattresses. I was concerned about finding a clean place for my children and was very satisfied. The housekeeping service was excellent. The HJ is easily in walking distance to the main village strip, unless you are very old or very young. My five and eight year olds managed the 10 minute or less walk fine numerous times. Its also very close to Million Dollar Beach and Fort William Henry. There was plenty of parking in the huge lot even though the place was booked, unlike some places I noticed as we walked by there was always full house parking. The pool was nice and clean. The only negative comment was that our main hallway smelled slightly musty, but as I mentioned the room did not smell at all and was clean, bright and fresh.

Had a wedding to attend in Lake George on a Monday! Stayed 2 nights here, I booked the last minute. I highly recommend this hotel; it is well worth the money, not fancy but clean, bright, & with the necessaries like a safe, a refrig and comfortable beds. The staff were helpful and polite. The pool was very clean as well. I was only 1/2 mi from the lake and it was a nice walk. I will go back again.
