A great deal for the price. The single story part of the hotel appears quite old, but is very well maintained. It's kind of a time warp back to the little roadside places of the 40s and 50s. There is also a newer two-story part which is more modern but also appears nice. Our room was paneled in Knotty Pine, had two double beds, a TV, AC chairs, table and no phone. (Who needs the hotel phone anyway now that everyone has a cell... the phone in the office is available if you really do) The bathroom was small, with only a shower, but perfectly adequate and clean. Everything had a fresh coat of paint, was well maintained, and very clean. There is a nice pool and a landscaped picnic area with charcoal grills for guests to use. It has good proximity to the beach at the south end of Lake George (about 3/4 mile) and in tourist season the town trolley comes by and will take you all over town for a buck. We would book a room here again.
